The nomination period for Burlington’s 2022 Municipal Election opened today (May 2) at 8:30 a.m. and runs until Aug. 19, 2022 at 2 p.m. Nomination papers can be filed by appointment only with
the Clerks Department at 905-335-7777, ext. 7805 or clerks@burlington.ca. Voting for the election
takes place between Oct. 11-24, 2022. For information on all registered candidates, information sessions for potential candidates and all election-related details, head to myvoteburlington.ca
With the writ period expected to begin this Thursday (May 4), Provincial government business will end as
election campaigning officially gets underway. We encourage everyone in the community to learn
about all the candidates and their platforms ahead of Ontario Election Day on June 2.
