Burlington’s very popular Sound of Music Festival continues this weekend (Thursday, June 13-Sunday, June 16) and is looking for a few volunteers to lend a hand and help in making this year’s event just as successful as in previous years.
Organizers have said in order to keep this annual festival free, they rely heavily on their volunteers — it’s also a great opportunity for students looking to get their community service hours.
Volunteer shifts are usually around 4-6 hours and you are provided with a festival T-shirt and food vouchers.
Some of the available positions include selling merchandise, greeting guests in the VIP areas, selling tickets, backstage setup, working the eco-department, bartending and bar-backing. For a full list of positions and available shifts, head to the Sound of Music Festival’s website at soundofmusic.ca/volunteers or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Help out your community and be a part of Halton Region’s biggest event of the year.
