Earlier today we held the 13th meeting of the Burlington COVID-19 Task Force as we see only 6 active cases of COVID-19 in Burlington right now. We have come a long way in the past five months and we hope to see these amazing results of low cases and community responsibility continue.
Our meeting today touched on:
- The City’s mask bylaw adding apartments & condos, residential & business until Jan 31st
- Business funding support recently approved by council of $250K
- Our next public telephone town hall that will be Wednesday September 23rd and focus on the impact of back-to-school (Sept.8), any impact to new cases that is having, and actions the community may need to take. Stuart Miller of the HDSB, Pat Daly of the HCDSB, and Eric Vandewall of Joseph Brant Hospital are already confirmed to attend.
