Earlier this morning we held our 24th Burlington COVID-19 Task Force meeting.
We heard continued good news about vaccination rates for the general public, hospital staff, and employees in the HDSB school board – as well as great update for the ages 5-11 group that launched last Friday.
We had a presentation from Joseph Brant Hospital with regards to their desire to better support Mental Health and Addiction needs in our community – an initiative well-received by all on the call given how much this need has grown during the pandemic.
We also heard that our community’s food scarcity and other essential needs continue to be significant so support for holiday food drives through our food bank, Wellington Square Church, and the Salvation Army (including related toy drives) will be appreciated more than ever.
Here are the minutes from our meeting: Burlington COVID-19 Task Force Meeting 24
Here is the presentation given by Joseph Brant Hospital: JBH MHA Redevelopment Project- Burlington Task Force Nov 29 2021
I continue to be grateful for the time and insights of this group of community leaders and how they have come together to collaborate so consistently throughout this pandemic. We are very blessed to have such dedicated and caring individuals in these positions, supporting our community.
